We have so many great parade entries this year! The Best Christmas Parade in the Piedmont is ready to roll down Main Street. 

This year's theme is "A Candy Land Christmas - Sweet Surprises" and all parade entries are encouraged to get creative and use the Candy Land theme in their parade presentation!! Awards & bragging rights for winners of:

  • Best Candy Land Parade Theme
  • Best Golf Cart (one or group)
  • Best Youth Participation
  • Best Handmade Float/Display

Some important parade tips & info:

* All entries will be assigned a numbered parade location; your location will be emailed to you by Friday, 11/25

* You must check-in at the SE Courtsquare at West Water Street. Your parade entry will be directed to the correct line-up block & location

* NO THROWING from floats or parade vehicles. Walkers may pass out items as they walk.

2022 Santa House & Carriages - Candy Land Christmas Nights in Lincolnton!

Every Thursday, Friday & Saturday starting 12/1 through 12/17 (3 weekends)

Santa will be greeting North Pole visitors between 5pm and 8pm each Th/Fri/Sat at First Federal Park (Poplar at Sycamore) FREE!

Carriage & Wagon Rides will tour Historic Downtown Lincolnton between 6:30pm - 9:30pm every Th/Fri/Sat. Departs from the 100 Block of East Main Street. Cash only, no reservations. 

Carriage rides $15/person, wagon rides $10/person, under 2 free. Carriages generally accommodate 2-4 people & wagons hold 8-10, every effort is made to keep groups/families together.

  • 64th Annual Lincolnton Christmas Parade - The Best Christmas Parade in the Piedmont! The parade rolls down East Main Street to the Courtsquare and then to Lincolnton High School.

      • 2pm - Parade Lineup Starts on West Water Street, Vendors on site with parade treats
      • 4pm - Parade starts at Flint Street
      • 5pm - Entertainment & Performances
      • 6pm - Tree Lighting Ceremony
  • Holiday Channel Christmas Movie Wonderthon - produced by Lincoln Theatre Guild at LCC
    • Two weekends, Six performances:
      • Fri/Sat December 2-3 at 7p, & Sun December 4 at 2p
      • Fri/Sat December 9-10 at 7p & Sun December 11 at 2p
  • Breakfast with Santa at LCC - presented by Lincoln Cultural Center
    • Saturday, December 3 at 10am, reservations required
  • The Nutcracker, A Children's Ballet at Citizens Center - produced by Lincoln Cultural Center

  • The APPLE DROP! - A New Year's Eve street party and blessing of the city by the Cherryville Traditional Shooters. A unique celebration of heritage & community like no other!
