Produced by the Lincoln Theatre Guild and directed by H. Michael Wirth, this is a new take on the groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical fairytale about wishes and the choices we make. Featuring a youth cast of talented Lincolnton area performers, this promises to be another smashing success for the LTG.
Be careful what you wish for as this cockeyed fairytale comes to life. Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters – Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables.
The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse and wind up changed forever.

Run the Rail 5k is a run and memorial walk sponsored by Hospice & Palliative Care of Lincoln County. Runners and walkers participate for the physical activity, but also to remember and honor a loved one. This family-friendly event begins and ends at the Betty Ross Park, with the race taking place on the historic Marcia H. Cloninger Rail-Trail (named in memory of the late Mayor Pro Tem Marcia Cloninger). Marcia was instrumental in securing funds to build the trail and was its true champion. We hope you will join us as we Run the Rail – and remember.
Your participation supports services and programs offered by Hospice & Palliative Care Lincoln County. If you have ever needed hospice care for a loved one or know anyone who has, you understand why our services are so extraordinary. Our goal is to care for those facing serious or terminal illness, helping them make the most of every day.
