Weather Briefing Today 10/23/17
Heavy rain at times with lightning associated with this front. Damaging winds are also anticipated in Central NC with sustained winds between 35 and 45 mph and gusts up to 65 mph. Limbs and weak trees may fall leading to scattered power outages and winds of this magnitude could make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. The potential for tornadoes is also identified within the southern & western Piedmont regions. The front should move through our area by midnight tonight.
