A planned citywide electrical power outage will start at midnight Saturday 10/22 until 5am Sunday 10/23. 

Duke Energy has notified the Lincolnton Electric Utility that it is replacing one of its poles that carries transmission lines to the city electric substation. This is a Duke Energy project, and the City of Lincolnton's electrical power must be cut for safety precautions. This will impact all City of Lincolnton Electric Utility residential and commercial customers.

Please make sure you have backup power plans for any required services or health-related needs. 

Duke Energy will work as quickly and safely as possible to restore Lincolnton Electric Utility power.
