Railroad Crossing Closures

Maintenance crews from the railroad management company will be performing maintenance work on the tracks through downtown Lincolnton starting March 2 and continuing into next week. Crews will be moving westbound on the tracks starting at Hill Road and Lithia Inn Road and then moving along the track to close Gaston, Edwards, Flint, Laurel, Academy, and Motz Streets as they complete repairs.

Drivers should use Cedar and Poplar streets as alternate routes since they have bridges over the tracks.

The schedule is subject to change based on progress, and some crossings will be blocked early for safety purposes. The maintenance work should move quickly with the crossings reopened as soon as possible after repairs are completed.
