The following counts are based on data reported to the Lincoln County Health Department as of 11/13/2020:
- It is always tragic to lose one of our community members. Our thoughts and prayers go out to these families. With regards to the 23 deaths, 9 are related to a congregate-care facility. Lincoln County Health Department continues to work with congregate living facilities to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19.
- Lincoln County is reporting at least three more deaths related to Covid-19. These deaths are not recent deaths and are a result of delayed reports, When a resident of Lincoln County dies outside of the county, there can be a delay in receiving death certificates as much as 90 days. The Lincoln County Health Department prefers to evaluate the actual death certificate prior to reporting a new death as it relates to Covid-19. In regards to these 3 deaths, they all had underlying medical conditions.
- As of July 21, 2020, it is no longer recommended to require re-testing for negative test results (except in specific circumstances where an individual has a severely compromised immune system or pre-existing health conditions) to discontinue isolation to return to normal activities such as returning to work.

Under the NC Governor’s EO176 Phase 3 extension issued November 10 and effective until December 4, NC is under "Safer at Home Phase 3" restrictions and requires face coverings and social distancing in all public places.
