Thursday solid waste pickup is on Wednesday, Recycling will be picked up on Friday and we hope to see you at the Fourth of July Celebration downtown on Thursday starting at 6:30pm.

City of Lincolnton offices and facilities are closed Thursday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Here are some important reminders:

The Thursday solid waste collection will be on Wednesday, so remember to put your rollout at the curb tonight for both Wednesday AND THURSDAY solid waste collection routes. And Friday is the first Friday of the month – which means curbside recycling pickup! All curbside recycling participants should put their recycling rollout at the curb for pick up on Friday, July 5th.

Monday, July 1st -Monday route collected
Tuesday, July 2nd -Tuesday route collected
Wednesday, July 3rd -Wednesday & Thursday route collected
Thursday, July 4th -No Collection - Holiday
Friday, July 5th -Recycling Collected city wide

We are still accepting registrations for the new curbside recycling program on a rolling basis. You can sign up at any time to have a recycling bin delivered to your home for monthly recycling collection. Get all the details at this link: www.LincolntonNC.org/Recycling.  

In addition, we hope to see everyone downtown on Thursday for the City of Lincolnton Fourth of July Celebration!  The kids’ zone opens at 6:30pm on East Main at Academy with bouncy houses, pedal cars, face painting and the Fire Department spray and sprinkler play area. The July 4th Parade starts at 8:30 pm with lots of patriotic spirit on display. The fireworks are set light the sky at 9:30pm after the parade. There are lots of great viewing areas around the Court Square and the Lincolnton High School football stadium will be open at seven thirty for viewing from the stands. Come downtown Thursday and be part of the fun as we celebrate American Independence as a community.
