2018-03-01_1236

A strong cold front moving in this afternoon may cause damaging wind and possible downed trees thru Saturday...

March 1, 2018 - Lincoln County Emergency Management says a strong cold front will move across the region later today with a chance for severe weather from a line of strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon including possible tornadoes. Some of these storms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts. A weak tornado or two cannot be ruled out!

With all the rain we have had, high winds may cause weak trees to fall leading to scattered power outages and difficult driving with trees across roadways. Our Fire Dept is ready if any trees come down the next few days!

Possible Impact on Lincoln County:

  • Lincoln County Overall – Low

  • Fatalities – None
  • Temperatures - High 42F
  • Winds – Moderate, from the NW at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 MPH
