  1. CANCELLED: Mecklenburg Militia at Ramsour’s Mill

    January 12, 2019, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Ramsour's Mill Battleground Park

    Due to pending winter weather, this event has been cancelled and MAY be rescheduled to a later date.

    A rare opportunity to see and visit with The Mecklenburg Militia as they camp at the historic Ramsour’s Mill Battleground Park. Coordinated and presented by the Lincoln County Historical Association.

    The Mecklenburg Militia is a Revolutionary war reenacting unit that represents the The Mecklenburg Militia from the Hopewell area of Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. They will set up their camp in a military manner and present the following: firing and drill demonstrations, weapons and clothing talks, Southern Campaign talks, music, camp life, kids’ toys, and have a colonial surgeon and commissary.

    Camp opens on Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 4:00 p.m. The activities are free to the general public. If you have questions, email the Lincoln County Historical Association at

  2. Paranormal Investigation at City Hall & Fire Station

    January 12, 2019, 8:00 PM @ GameSwap - Viewing Party

    First in Fright Paranormal will be doing an investigation of Lincolnton City Hall and Lincolnton Fire Station on January 12. GameSwap-New & Retro Video Game Superstore is hosting a live viewing party on their big screen tv's or you can watch live online. There will be a meet and greet with the investigators at GameSwap after the investigation. No visitors will be allowed inside City Hall or the Fire Station premises during the investigation.
